APTIM Assistant Project Manager in Findlay, Ohio

Job Overview:

APTIM has an opening for an Assistant Project Manager to join an existing project team. The project team designs and fabricates gas drying, compression, and flaring equipment for the landfill gas and natural gas markets. They will be responsible for in assisting in the management of all phases of project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes that include engineering, applied science, procurement, construction and /or operations. Directs preparation of work plans, supervises project teams, manages project scope, budget and schedule, and coordinates with customers. Other duties may be required.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Document management

  • Duties would be technical and administrative support for our landfill gas service department.

  • Interface with client to facilitate questions and meetings

  • Inspect documents for accuracy against policies and procedures

  • Identify and facilitate conflict and issue resolution

  • Produce status reports

  • Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on small projects as defined by low potential risk, complexity, manpower requirements and/or contract value

  • Will have responsibility for multiple projects.

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls small projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.

  • Supervises daily activities of project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget.

  • May function as seller-doer, developing client contacts and relationships, preparing proposals, coordinating contract negotiations, etc., as well as managing project execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Some Project Management experience preferred

  • Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a discipline or skill.

  • Applies knowledge and skills to complete own work.

  • Understands relationships between work processes and the business.

  • Is aware of costs related to own work.

  • Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others.

  • Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

  • Builds team effectiveness skills within own work team.

  • Must have strong skills in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Associate's Degree Preferred
