APTIM Data & Systems Manager in New Orleans, Louisiana

Job Overview:

The Data and Systems Manager will work with systems/databases, data analysis, reporting, etc. across multiple programs and will participate in key initiatives to ensure that best practices are implemented, resources and processing are optimized, and efficiencies are achieved. He or she will help identify areas for improvement and growth and assist in reviewing strategic efforts and analyze effectiveness through program system databases to drive out reporting and analysis. Additionally, this role will drive the organization's accountability, adaptability, agility and ability to deliver success.

This position will also manage database maintenance ensuring user specifications are communicated appropriately and will track the completion status of the development schedule. This individual will also ensure data is clean and high-quality. The Manager will serve as the first point of contact for leadership staff needing quick turn-around data and reporting. Outwardly, this role will partner with clients, vendors and manage /interface with software developers to communicate requirements to ensure successful outcomes.

This individual will support Aptim's Energy Management & Sustainability (EMS) group, particularly the Wisconsin Focus on Energy and the Entergy New Orleans Energy Smart programs. This position is responsible for ensuring that information is accurate, activities and deliverables are maintained and continuously reviewed, and provides continuous communication with program contacts. This position is additionally responsible for directly managing team projects to support the business and residential programs and assisting customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Development, management and optimization of program tracking system and databases.

  • Interface with software developers -- communicate requirements, manage requests

  • Synthesize program data across multiple energy efficiency programs

  • Data analysis and reporting of program-specific metrics and performance, and in aggregate across all portfolios

  • Prepare reports for clients and internal EMS group

  • Standardizing high-quality, comprehensive reports for clients

  • Employ continuous process methodology to drive improvement and identify opportunities to reduce waste and streamline processes

  • Ability to work across different functional groups and programs (both local and remote)

  • Long-term systems and technology planning

  • Manage tasks, systems, projects, processes across the greater EMS group for DSM programs

  • Develop relationships with program implementers and partners to identify and address their needs from the Program to provide information to the program managers.

  • Coordinate with Program Team to ensure program needs, including project planning as related to reporting, and data integrity are met

  • Assist trade allies and customers to ensure they have the correct information and data to promote the energy efficiency incentives

  • Conduct QA/QC of Program processes and protocols related to data and reporting, offering design improvements and recommendations.

  • Directly assist in the resolution of Program operation issue related to data / systems

  • Keep current on the latest energy-saving technology to support the Program team

  • Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Project management

  • Systems background -- development and management & optimization / development of systems (as weed out) -- larger systems database mgmt.

  • Understanding of IT systems architecture

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
